Statement Regarding COVID-19

While every situation is different, and while each leader must make decisions commensurate with good practices which are appropriate in their area and situation, the following is the Worldwide Pentecostal Fellowship’s official statement regarding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the world is facing an unprecedented challenge, and the church has an unprecedented opportunity. Those who are born again experience “righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost,” but we are also “in the world” and subject to some of the same things as everyone else in our communities. Let us pray for our communities and let us bring hope, love and peace by our thoughtful engagement wherever possible. 

The Worldwide Pentecostal Fellowship encourages all members to reach out in love to everyone in their communities, regardless of race or creed. Avoid fear based greed, and be ready to share with others in need.  

Follow, as much as is possible, the advice of the authorities and health professionals as they attempt to prevent the further spread of this virus. Pray for those in leadership and in the public service front lines. 

When allowed to gather in public, use recommended preventative practices, and whenever necessary, use alternative programming to minister to your community. Example hope and faith, while advising caution and prevention.
